TV's Marcus Lemonis (The Profit) took over Gander Mountain and rebranded it as Gander Outdoors. He then decided to issue a Logo competion where the first prize was $100,000, and the next 99 also got paid too. This, of course, led to a deluge of entries, and while we would normally never get caught up in this kind of competiton, we decided to throw our cap into the ring. 100K would do wonders for growing our business. We didn't win. But we placed in the top 1% (50 out of 5000) of entries and were adequately remunerated for our efforts. We actively encourage our staff to enjoy the freedom a project like this brings, without ROI or metrics that qualify it as being successful. Fun Stuff Indeed.
