This bar/restaurant in Chichester has an ecelctic and kitsch mix of styles, decor, furniture and even customers. The identity needed to reflect this so a traditional 'crest' was developed that on closer inspection would reveal a few twists. The avian theme came from the name. The three flying birds are based on a popular kitsch 1970's wall ornament, whilst the wreath motif is constructed from feathers (which became a theme). The identity was applied, in whole or in part, to menus, matchbooks, coasters, uniforms and signage.
