Bastion FC

After years of making team, player, and supporters' groups merchandise we set up Bastion®FC with a specific aim — that we use our design experience to help build strong brand identities for grassroots, non-profit, and academic sports teams. Fostering community, Shaping futures, and promoting well-being are key tenets of our work with the rally cry being that together we can 'Make Team Happen'. The custom drawn logotype was kept simple, using a mix of 3 well known typefaces as a guide. Since budget was tight, we pragmatically set about building the brand ecosystem using a bit of design savvy, free resources available online, and a 'can-do' attitude — crafting a world that looked the part, didn't over promise and underdeliver, and had the right tone of voice. In the space of two years we have branched into sports other than soccer, such as softball, hockey, and athletics.
