Sometimes projects die. That doesn't mean they aren't valuable. Take Gran Caffe L'Aquila for example. They engaged us to design the identity for the transplant award winning restaurant from Italy to Philadelphia. We presented several rounds of concepts that built upon the iconic identity of the town but giving it a much more contemporary slant. We were purposely trying to avoid to the expected 'Italian' type approach. We throught the project was going great but we never heard from them and when the restaurant opened the only thing that seemingly remained from our work was the italian heart.
